BATON ROUGE, La. — MiLaysia Fulwiley scored 32 points and handed out 17 assists as No. 9 LSU defeated UNT Dallas 159-31 Thursday night in a women’s basketball exhibition at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Tigers scored the game’s first 21 points and built a 78-18 halftime lead in their first exhibition ahead of the 2026-27 season. LSU forced 46 turnovers and converted them into 82 points.
ZaKiyah Johnson added 23 points, followed by Mikaylah Williams with 22, Grace Knox with 21 and Laila Reynolds with 20. Williams also collected 11 steals.
LSU finished with 43 assists and 36 steals while making 16 of 26 attempts from 3-point range. The Tigers received 49 points from their bench.
Despite the lopsided result, LSU coach Kim Mulkey said the exhibition offered useful preparation.
“What you do is you just allow your team to be seen by the fans,” Mulkey told WBRZ.
Mulkey said playing under game conditions gave the Tigers an opportunity to work on conditioning while providing their opponent exposure and supporting the growth of women’s basketball.
Freshman Anna Minaeva missed the game with a quadriceps injury, according to WBRZ. Noa Morro also was unavailable after undergoing foot surgery in September.
LSU will host Loyola New Orleans on Oct. 29 in its final exhibition. The Tigers open the regular season at home against Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 2, with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m. on SEC Network.
