BATON ROUGE, La. — Southern University’s Homecoming celebration will once again have a night dedicated to style, fellowship and, most importantly, investing in the future.
The Southern University College of Business 24th Annual Gala on the Bluff is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at L’Auberge Casino Hotel Baton Rouge.
The annual gala is the College of Business’ premier Homecoming event and a major scholarship fundraiser designed to help Southern students pursue their educational and professional goals.
For supporters of Southern University, the message from organizers is simple:

A Night That Gives Back
Gala on the Bluff has become one of the College of Business’ most anticipated annual events, bringing together Southern alumni, business professionals, community leaders, corporate supporters and friends of the university.
But beneath the formal setting and Homecoming excitement is a serious mission — raising money to support scholarships for College of Business students.
Over the years, the gala has generated more than $1.5 million in scholarship support, according to event organizers.
That means the evening is about more than a seat at a gala. It is an opportunity to help a student stay in school, complete a degree and prepare for a career.
24 Years of Investing in Students
The 2026 event marks the 24th annual Gala on the Bluff, continuing a tradition that began as an effort to create greater financial support for Southern students studying business.
The College of Business prepares students for careers in areas including accounting, finance, management, marketing and business administration.
For alumni who remember their own days on the Bluff, the gala provides an opportunity to give back to the institution while helping open doors for a new generation of Jaguars.
