More than 100 women attended the Victory Conference and Awards at the Timothy Retreat Center in Baker. The gathering, which included music, Bible teaching and lunch, attracted guests from the greater Baton Rouge area as well as greater New Orleans, Slidell, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Alexandria, North Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Dr. Gregory and Mandy W. Green are the founders of Dominion Ministries. Women of Dominion is under its umbrella with Mandy W. Green as the founder. It is an outreach ministry for women of all ages with several chapters in Louisiana and Mississippi. The mission of Women of Dominion is to help women live in victory, and its signature event is the Victory Conference and Awards.

Celeste Texada, founder and co-pastor with her husband Greg Texada of The Word Christian Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, delivered an anointed and encouraging message giving steps to achieve victory while faced with difficulties. She was accompanied by members of the church who provided worship, as well. The Victory Awards were given to 11 women who have faced challenges that resulted in victory through Jesus Christ. The honorees were Gloria Allen, Lisa Anderson, Deborah Facey, Beverly Honore, Diedre Joe, Valeri Kerry, Latefa Moliere, Terri Reddick, Norma Robinson, Adriane White and Elizabeth Williams; each honoree shared their unique testimony of victory.

Carol Norwood, owner of Trinity Christian Academy, was the Mistress of Ceremonies; she kept the conference on schedule while engaging everyone in delightful laughter. Diedre Joe, first lady of Pacesetter Christian Fellowship in Jonesboro, and Latefa Moliere, co-founder of Soldiers of Christ Outreach Ministries in Biloxi, ministered in song. In addition, Deborah Facey and Elizabeth Williams of Instruments of Praise sang their new single “New Life”, and Dr. Leslie Bostick gave an inspiring offering message teaching on the importance of generosity.

Dr. Green, Mandy, and Pastors Greg and Celeste Texada prayed for those who requested it, and this resulted in many answered prayers. Mandy concluded the conference by encouraging everyone to pursue their victory that Christ paid for on the cross no matter what challenges they are faced with; because according to I Corinthians 15:57, there is always victory available for the believer. “Always Victory!”
