Hammond, LA – Thanks to the efforts of a massive team of community leaders, sponsors, and volunteers, the Hammond Northshore Regional Airshow was revived in 2018 after a 26-year hiatus and once again established itself as a premier family attraction for the Florida Parishes. The weekend-long event attracted more than 25,000 visitors by the official count, in spite of some bad weather at the outset, and marked the triumphant return of a beloved tradition for generations of local residents.
The show was such an overwhelming success that organizers began preparing for a encore performance almost immediately, even when pandemic safety restrictions arose and derailed their plans for a 2020 show. Fortunately, this year’s airshow will proceed as scheduled from October 16-17 at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport. Tickets and prepaid parking will be available for purchase through hammondairshow.com beginning July 1st.
First Guaranty Bank is the Presenting Sponsor for the 2021 airshow. Their support has helped to secure this year’s featured attractions, which include Wild Blue Rodeo, FMX Motocross Team, Louisiana Air National Guard 159th Fighter Wing F-15s, Misty Blues Jump Team, P-51 Gunfighter, Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, and many other top-caliber airshow performers from across the country. Kids Village, which welcomes little ones to enjoy bounce houses, slides, and other child-friendly extras free of charge, will also be back by popular demand.
