I’m Quintillis Lawrence. I’m asking for your vote to be Judge of Division K of the 19th Judicial District.
I'm ready to go on day one. There is no learning curve. I have 20 years of combined legal experience as a criminal defense attorney, prosecutor, Judicial Commissioner and Military Lawyer (JAG Officer). I’m a graduate of Southern University and Southern University Law Center. As an Adjunct Law Professor at Southern University Law Center it’s a privilege and honor preparing our future attorneys.
With 20 years of courtroom experience, I believe everyone who comes into the courtroom should be treated with dignity and respect. I will use my knowledge and experience to ensure that the law is administered fairly and impartially and will work hard every day to accomplish that.
I am a member of the Louisiana Law Institute, the Capital Area YMCA Board, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, Imagination Leads, Louisiana State Bar Association, Baton Rouge Soccer Association Coach, and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
I began my military career at the age of 17 and served in the Global War on Terrorism.
Following my deployment I determined that there is a need to establish a Veterans Court. Veterans who find themselves in the judicial system are sometimes suffering in silence from post traumatic stress disorder and are not getting the help they need. We need to take care of them.
I am a husband and father. My children are Jackson, 14 and Nahtali, 10. I am married to Brandi Littles- Lawrence. As the father of a black son I am acutely aware of the challenges faced by young black men. If elected as your judge I reaffirm my commitment to administer the law fairly and impartially.
