Mayor Waites Launches “#MasksOnBaker” Program to Promote Safety

Baker. La.-- The Mayor of Baker Louisiana, Darnell Waites has initiated ‘MaskOnBaker’ a new program designed to inform, educate and inspire the residents and businesses in the City of Baker to wear masks and the practice social distancing. This program will help flatten the curve and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

“We have made good progress in our efforts to fight the spread of the Coronavirus, but this is not the time to relax, become restless or be reckless in our approach to move our city forward. The fight must continue to make the City of Baker and our State of Louisiana free from the Coronavirus. I am calling for a united City of Baker to participate in the ‘MaskOnBaker’ program by wearing masks when we leave our homes and in our places of business. I am convinced that we will reduce the spread of this deadly virus and save lives” said Mayor Waites.
