Mayor Broome to Deliver ‘State of The City’ Wednesday


Baton Rouge – Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome will hold her fourth State of the City Address 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 8th at the Manship Theatre, 100 Lafayette St., in downtown Baton Rouge. The address will focus on Mayor Broome’s achievements during 2019 along with her short-term and long-term goals for the community.


The event will begin with a video presentation that includes interviews from area leaders along with scenes from the community. Following the video, Mayor Broome will address the public about her vision to bring peace, prosperity and progress to all citizens. Her speech will focus on a number of topics like revitalizing neighborhoods, increased economic opportunities for all residents, greater access to healthcare and nutritional food, improving public safety, drainage and transportation.
