This message is to announce my candidacy for judge in the 19th Judicial District Court, East Baton Rouge Parish. The election date is November 3, 2020. I have served as the City Prosecutor for Baker since 2012, in addition to representing clients in the private practice of law. As prosecutor, I work to protect the public and victims of crime, while also focusing on rehabilitation and social development opportunities for offenders where possible. I believe in honest public service where people are treated fairly and with respect. I will apply these principles to my service as judge.
I am running for judge of Division G, Section 2 in the 19th J.D.C. The election district is located in the northern part of EBR Parish, including the cities of Baker, Zachary, Central and Baton Rouge. The areas of Baton Rouge include Alsen, Brownfields, Greenwell Springs, Merrydale, Villa Del Rey, Sherwood, Sherwood Forest, Monticello, Park Forest, Broadmoor and Glen Oaks.
