BR Weekly Press Partners With T.V. Network Urban Trendsetters For Local, Daily News Content

Baton Rouge, La – The Baton Rouge Weekly Press announce they will expand community outreach with the inclusion of television to their growing media suite of products and services. Through a partnership with Urban Trendsetters Television and Media, The Weekly Press will begin airing a minimum of four hours of daily local news and programming to the citizens of Baton Rouge. UTS TV BR will launch in Baton Rouge on KLBN channel 14.4 beginning Monday, August 3, 2020.

For more than 43 years, The Weekly Press has been showcasing the community’s leaders, business owners and other important great news and information throughout Baton Rouge. The partnership of UTS TV Baton Rouge with the BR Weekly press will result in daily news, information, and local programming to the Black Community of Baton Rouge.


Urban Trendsetters Television Network (UTSTV) is the nation's newest and first over-the-air (OTA) broadcast network owned and operated by an African American Woman. UTSTV aims to serve the African American community and beyond through providing high quality, family-friendly, entertaining, and inspiring

programming for the general public. In doing so, we hope to become a positive influence in the community and help our viewers to become more informed citizens of the world. UTSTV represents the Black American culture respectfully and authentically.

By partnering with local community newspapers Urban Trendsetters TV can assist the small black business owners or publishers we work with by providing a new service to increase revenue as well as value to their existing advertisers. The need for Black News, information and content has never been more apparent than it is today. As a team UTS BR and The BR Weekly Press are a great match, said Sharon S. Viewers can watch UTS TV BR on any device that has internet access via the Free UTS LIVE STREAM at www.utstv.com and their news and information website www.urbantrendsetters.com. In addition to online UTS TV’s local broadcast channel affiliate KLBN (Pelican Broadcast), 14.4 will air UTS TV BR. UTS TV’s OTT (Over the Top) network launch on August 1, 2020 will include access to ROKU, Amazon Firestick and AppleTV subscribers. The combination of networks will give UTS TV BR access to over 80 million subscribers.
