Baton Rouge Community College donates necessary PPE supplies to Baton Rouge General staff

BRCC's Chief Information Officer, Ron Solomon recently delivered the college's second donation of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies to healthcare workers at Baton Rouge General.

BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Community College is continuing its commitment to the Baton Rouge community by donating necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies to healthcare workers at Baton Rouge General. Immediately following the call for PPE, BRCC's Division of Nursing and Allied Health gathered the college’s supply of gloves and N95 masks for the nursing and operating room staffs at Baton Rouge General and made a donation on Friday, March 20, 2020. A second smaller donation of N95 masks was given to Baton Rouge General last week on behalf of our Automotive Training staff.

"As a community college, we have a duty to support our city and surrounding areas," said BRCC Interim Chancellor Dr. Willie E. Smith. "We are extremely grateful for the sacrifices our healthcare professionals have been making during the pandemic and we are glad to continuously support them in any way we can."
