BR Weekly Press Seeking Freelance Writers, Contributors & Interns

Thank you for your interest in The Baton Rouge Weekly Press contributor or intern, social media positions.

Responsibilities & requirements are as followed for the freelance contributors.

  • Writing Weekly / Daily News Posts

  • Ability to Cover Live Community, Sports and Entertainment Events

  • Ability to interview Community, Sports and Entertainment Personalities

  • Previous blogging, writing or media experience is preferred, but not required (independent experience is fine)

  • Wix Experience and Wordpress is highly preferred, but not required

As far as the intern positions, we are looking for High School and College students to assist with writing projects we have going on as well as future projects and assist me in covering news events.

We also need a social media intern who doesn’t necessarily have to be in the Baton Rouge area, so if you are specifically looking at that position you may apply as well.

Please do not reply unless you are truly are dedicated to being or becoming a serious journalist. We conduct ourselves as professional journalists who are in the industry of print and online media.
